1. Schools

Elementary & Middle Schools

Saratoga Union School District

Saratoga Union School District serves students in grades K-8 and presently operates three K-5 elementary schools and one 6-8 middle school.

Cupertino Union School District

The Cupertino Union School District, with state and national recognition for the excellence of its schools, serves 17,500 students—representing 46 different languages—in a 26-square mile area that includes the city of Cupertino and portions of five other cities in California's Silicon Valley.Historically, district test scores have been high, placing Cupertino among the premier public school districts in the state.  The community has high expectations for its children and the degree of parent involvement is high. In response to the increasing need for quality, affordable child care, the district provides before and after school student care programs on a space available basis at all elementary schools in partnership with licensed providers.

High Schools

Los Gatos - Saratoga Union High School District

The Los Gatos – Saratoga Joint Union High School District is located in the technology-oriented Santa Clara/Silicon Valley and serves students from the communities of Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga and Loma Prieta in both Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.   The District is comprised of two comprehensive high schools, Los Gatos High School and Saratoga High School, and an alternative program, Nova*.  Our comprehensive schools share a commitment to high academic standards and a high level of community and parent support while retaining attributes unique to their feeder communities.

Fremont Union High School District

We could not be more proud of our high schools – Cupertino, Fremont, Homestead, Lynbrook and Monta Vista – as our students continue to excel! Our academic performance scores are among the very highest in the state for high schools. Furthermore, we are one of the very few high school districts statewide that offers a seven-period academic day making it even more possible for students to participate in our nationally recognized visual and performing arts programs and on athletic teams.

2. West Valley Community College

West Valley College is a public California Community College located on the west side of Silicon Valley, in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, 50 miles south of San Francisco. Continuing a nearly 40 year tradition, West Valley College offers 18 dynamic career programs, professional certificates, and degree programs with exceptional preparation for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

 

3. City of Saratoga

The City of Saratoga is an attractive residential community with excellent schools and unique characteristics. The community has a historic downtown district, "Saratoga Village," or "The Village" with distinctive dining and unique shops. The City also is home to Villa Montalvo, the former home of Senator James Duval Phelan which is host to a art gallery, an artist in residence program, concert performances and park trails and grounds.
